Acupuncture is used to promote natural healing, treat the root cause of symptoms, and support the connection between body and mind.

Acupuncture sessions involve an in-depth assessment of physical and emotional states, lifestyle, and goals for therapy. The focus is on the individual, complex, and present condition of each patient. A treatment plan is personalized and flexible; it changes according to the results of each session.

Acupuncture is used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including but not limited to: pain management, digestive disorders, sleep dysfunction, hormonal issues, emotional stress, allergies, autoimmune disorders, fatigue, anxiety, depression, etc.

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissue, connective tissue, and joints in the body. Appointments can be therapeutic and/or relaxation focused. From chronic headaches and postural dysfunction, to acute injuries or preventative maintenance; each treatment will be tailored to fit your individual goals.

Medical Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is used for the treatment of acne scars, body scars, pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and age concerns.
**Portion of this treatment can be covered under acupuncture insurance. Please check with your individual plan if you have acupuncture coverage.

Dr. Lani Pickering

I was born and raised in the small town of Vauxhall, Alberta. I moved to Victoria, BC to complete the 3000 hour RMT program to then return ‘home’ to Calgary to further my passion towards helping others.

I graduated from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary in 2013 where I completed a 3 month internship in Mian Yang, Sichuan, China where I observed and trained with some of the most respected Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors in the world. The internship included teachings in pediatrics, gynaecology, dermatology, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, and cosmetology.

My first experience with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine was during my years as a competitive dancer. First used for pain relief and then for chronic health concerns, it was soon apparent the many health benefits that acupuncture could bring.

I am excited to bring the last 15 years of experience into my practice that can best be described as an ‘east meets west’ approach by combining the knowledge and experience of western medicine with the ever evolving Traditional Chinese Medicine practice.

I can’t wait to meet you on your journey to health and wellness.
